Mariska is such a bubbly, fun loving person! I loved her energy! Petri on the other hand, is the calm, collected one... Together they are on fire! The couple was amazing to shoot, they had the most amazing funky ideas, we even went into the 7 eleven.. haha Not the usual wedding shots, but SO much fun too shoot. I absolutely loved it. Adam and Karmen are such a cute couple! They are truly so amazing and fun loving. They have known each other for such a long time, they even went to their matric dance together... now that is meant to be. From the day they met me they have been so welcoming and have made me feel as one of their oldest friends. As soon as I got to were she was getting dressed and met the rest of Karmens family and friends, I could see where Karmen got that loving nature from, the bond between her and her family is so amazing. The hard work and planning was evident. A lot went into every detail of their special day, and in the end it payed off... it was beautiful!
Donna is one of my best friends and it gives me so much joy to see her so happy! She has definitely found the man of her dreams and they are so amazing together! Donna and Jan have so much love, respect, patients and kindness for each other. They are definitively a couple to look to for inspiration and hope. I really look forward to seeing how their relationship grows and prospers over the years. Donna asked me to do a "family shoot" for her and Jan. In these photies you will see Zee (newest member to the family - the precious horse), Ruffles (the cutest most loving lab in the world) and then of course the couple themselves. These photos are of a wedding dress worn last on the 20th of June 1958.. 52 years, many pleasant memories and a wonderful large family later, we decided to show it off once again. The weekend of my beautiful Grannies 70th birthday we decided to do a shoot with her and her 2 eldest Granddaughters using this vintage old dress. Those of you that know me, know that my family means the world to me, and this shoot is really close to my heart. We had a fantastic weekend filled with happy tears and smiles. Thank you Granny for always giving us inspiration and for all the love you have given! I love you.
What an adorable baby! I loved photographing her. She was such a pleasure, and her enthusiastic parents helped in keeping her smiling and laughing, making sure she looked her cutest. It was so hot that day, I am really surprised she was in such a pleasant mood, it must be in her genes ;)
Bronwyn and Graham are such a wonderful, fun couple... they were best friends and then realized that they were meant to spend the rest of their lives together! They are getting married in June this year and I really look forward to doing their wedding shoot for them. Watch this space for more! :)
Liesl and Gary are a wonderful couple who are really romantic at heart. Thus they decided they wanted to get married on the day of love... Valentines day. Liesl phoned me on Tuesday (the 9th) and asked if I was available to take their wedding photos on the Sunday (the 14th)... short notice but I was super exited and delighted to do the shoot. It was a small and intimate wedding, there were no guests and therefore we had loads of time for couple shots, which I of course LOVED! Monkey Valley Resort is a beautiful venue and the beach is amazing! As seen in the pics, we had the most amazing sunset that day.
Along with my passion for photography, I have a passion for animals. Especially horses. I believe there is a very strong bond between man and horses, and this is what I try to portray in my photographs. Every photo shoot I take is different, because each horse and owner is different and this is what makes animal portraiture so special and unique. I really look forward to doing more shoots like this.
WOW! This venue has the most beautiful surroundings and the most amazing places to shoot! I was jumping up and down with excitement! Everywhere you turn is photographic heaven, and on the day the light was absolutely perfect. They had their wedding late the afternoon (at 18:00 if I remember correctly) and in Cape Town that is great because the sun only sets at 21:00! ;)I really enjoyed this shoot.
This wedding was held at the beautiful Erinvale Estate in Somerset West. I especially love the church and the old car that they used, it gave great character to the wedding and the photos. Susan and Warren were very easy and relaxed. Thanks guys for a great wedding shoot!
